energy as a long-term solution to dealing
with climate change.

country’s reactors, most of which
remain offline after the March 2011

The USA is the world's largest producer
of nuclear power, accounting for more
than 30% of worldwide nuclear generation
of electricity. The country's 104 nuclear
reactors produced 821 billion kWh in
2011, over 19% of total electrical
output. There are now 103 units operable
and three under construction.

Rusko
pomůže islamistickému Egyptu s
jaderným programem
Egyptský ministr průmyslu a obchodu
Hatim Sálih oznámil, že Rusko pomůže
jeho zemi s jaderným programem. Ten byl
zmrazen v roce 1986, ale v roce 2006
ještě vláda prezidenta Husního
Mubaraka oznámila, že program znova
oživí.
